Promoting Positive Behaviour

Course Aim: To provide practitioners with tools for dealing with behaviour and how to promote positive outcomes.

This course covers all aspects of behaviour for children aged 2-11yrs providing links with the EYFS learning and development for PSE and Playwork Principles.

Course Information: This workshop will include scenarios and activities relevant to this age group and will explore the social and moral aspects of behaviour looking at:

  • What is understood by the term ‘behaviour’.
  • What is appropriate and inappropriate - reasons and types of behaviour.
  • Adult responses to behaviour.
  • Strategies for managing behaviour.
  • The benefit of focusing on positive behaviour.

Suitable For: Practitioners working with children from 2-11 years wishing to further their career or currently studying towards Childcare qualifications.
