Principles of Play (for Early Years and Primary aged children)

Course Information: This short course helps you explore why children have the right to and a desire to play.

During the course we will:

• Consider the different types of play and what are the benefits to children's wellbeing, learning and development in your setting
• Examine what rights children have to a safe, challenging and inclusive environment
• Identify children and young people's play needs and preferences and evaluate how you can promote effective relationships and your role of the Playworker

Suitable For: Those working with children from 2-11 years including Early Years Practitioners, support staff such as Lunchtime supervisors and Out of School/Breakfast club staff.

COST: £25.00 for members / £35.00 for non members
