Phase One Phonics 

Course Aim:  To enhance your skills, knowledge and confidence to support children's phonological development and explore the 7 aspects of phase one phonics

Course Information: During the session, we will explore how to help children to develop effective listening, attention and speaking skills as well as their ability to understand words, hear and distinguish sounds to give children the fundamental skills to help them to progress to sound and letter correspondence and reading and writing skills in YR1. 

Suitable For: Anyone working with 3 and 4 year olds

Delivered by: Sue Asquith, an award winning, freelance trainer and published author with over 26 years of experience in working in the early  years sector including working as a registered childminder, working in affiliation with her local children's centres, working on DfE funded projects, assessing and writing and delivering training throughout the UK and internationally.

Cost:  For bookings made -

•     up to and including 5th January 2025* Members £40  / Non Members £75
•     from 6th January 2025 onwards: Members £44 / Non Members £82

* Places must be booked and invoices must be settled by 5th January. After this date all unsettled invoices will be amended to the 2025 rate. No refunds or credits are available to any bookings made under 2024 prices, however, changes to the name of the attendee will be free. 

Important additional Information:

• Before booking a place, please read our information sheet which can be found here
• Please ensure you complete the 'attendee(s) name' and one 'attendee email address' (of one person attending) to ensure we send the Teams Invitation to the correct email address. A 'contact telephone number' for one attendee is also required in case we need to contact them in an emergency.
• Please note zoom invitations will be sent out 24 hours before the course/meeting starts. We are unable to send out zoom invitations until your invoice has been settled. Payment is required within 7 days of the invoice date or 24 hours before a course/meeting starts (whichever is sooner).
• If payment cannot be made within this timeframe then please email training@pataglos.org.uk to agree an extension to your payment deadline, otherwise, your place on the course may be cancelled.
