    Abbeymead Under 5s Playgroup is a small, friendly, community playgroup based in Hucclecote. Our Pre-School room is a warm, welcoming environment where children are encouraged to explore, create, and learn at their own pace.

    We are a child-led setting where learning is fun! We love getting messy, exploring outdoors, being creative, and following children's interests. Our small setting means we build strong relationships with our children and families, creating a caring community where every child is known and valued.

    The ideal candidate will be Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner, have a genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development. You enjoy getting involved in messy play, outdoor learning and creative activities, can build warm, positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues, are a team player who is reliable, organised and willing to learn and believes in following children's interests and supporting them through play.

    A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our new PATA creche service. This Gloucester based service supports families and community partners by offering high quality, safe and nurturing childcare in a welcoming environment. Our creche will operate in well equipped, community locations across Gloucester with inviting spaces that encourage play, exploration and early development.

    This is a flexible role with ad hoc hours, ideal for someone who is passionate about working with young children and can provide high-quality support. Creche sessions will run for 2 hours, with staff paid for 3 hours per session to cover set up and close down. We are looking for enthusiastic Early Years Practitioners with a Level 2 qualification or above to join our pool of creche workers. You will help to deliver a warm and engaging experience for young children under 5.

    The ideal candidate will be committed to providing an excellent standard of care, enjoy working as part of a supportive team and bring creativity, energy and a genuine passion for early years. You will need to be confident in working with parents and carers including those who may feel anxious about leaving their child, perhaps for the first time.

    Peadiatric First Aid is desirable although not essential.

    £13.25 p/h (qualified only)

    Level 3 Early Years Educators required. Fixed term Contracts until July 2027, with possibility of extending. Various working hours available but can be flexible depending on requirements. Current options:

    • Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:15pm
    • Monday, Thursday and Friday 8:30am to 3:15pm, Tuesday and Wednesday 8:30am to 12noon
    • Monday and Tuesday 8:30am to 12noon, Thursday and Friday 8:30am to 3:15pm

    Rate of Pay: £12.83 per hour. Start date: ASAP.

    We are recruiting due to increasing numbers and the popularity of the setting.  The successful candidate must be keen, enthusiastic and committed to helping children become the best they can be.  You will need experience of working at level 3 or above in early years.  Certificates in both child protection and first aid would be advantageous but are not essential.     Lunchtime Supervisor

    Would you like the opportunity to work in our popular, preschool? 

    If so, we are looking for a friendly person to provide lunchtime cover and some light cleaning duties for our setting PATA @ Little Everlands which is based on the site of Cam Everland Primary School.  The working hours are 11:30am to 2:00pm Monday to Friday.  Initially this is a fixed term contract to the end of the summer term (July 2027). Paty rate: £12.71 per hour.  Start date: ASAP.

    The successful candidate must enjoy spending time with children and be enthusiastic and proactive. Main duties will include setting up tables for lunch, supporting children during lunchtime and cleaning, mopping and santising tables and chairs at the end of lunchtime.

    Bank Staff. Temporary. Term time only. To cover staff absences as and when needed. Monday - Friday, 8:30am – 3:00pm. Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour.  

    Glenfall Preschool is a small, committee-led, local early years setting for children aged 2 years to 4 years old. 

    We are an inclusive setting dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for all our children. 

    We understand the importance of play. Learning in our setting is child-led. We have a free-flow approach to play with lots of outdoor play and messy activities! 

    We are looking for bank staff to cover staff absences as and when needed. Flexibility to work Monday - Friday, often at short notice is highly desirable.  You will have a warm, caring, nurturing approach, the ability to work in a small team and a fondness for cups of mud tea!

    Preschool Assistant. Permanent Position. Qualification: Level 2 or 3 full and relevant to early years. Days/times: Tues 9:00am - 3:45pm, Thurs 9:00am - 3:45pm and Friday 9:00am - 3:45pm, with flexibility to increase hours if needed. Term Time. Pay Rate: £13.26 per hour. Start Date: ASAP.

    Located in the heart of Leckhampton, Broadlands is a thriving community preschool. Open during term time, we care for approximately 50 children, aged between 2 and 5 years.  Broadlands is a popular setting, currently with most days running at full capacity. The Broadlands staff team are a friendly group and are supported by an active Committee of Volunteers. 

    Broadlands currently runs sessions between 9:00am and 3.30pm weekdays during term time. Staff are required to work beyond these hours to set up and tidy up and to attend meetings. 

    We are looking for someone with superb communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. 

    Previous experience in a childcare setting is necessary together with a real enthusiasm for creating a fun environment in which children can learn.

    A clear understanding of, and commitment to, both safeguarding requirements and equal opportunities will be necessary. 

    DBS required and Paediatric first aid and Safeguarding Level 2 is desirable.

    St Christopher’s Playgroup, based in St Christopher’s Church Halls in Warden Hill, is open Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 3:00pm term time only. All sessions held at the Church Halls site are a mixture of Pre- school and rising three’s children.

    We are seeking a qualified and dedicated professional to join our team as a SENCO Early Years Practitioner. This position requires a passionate individual who is committed to providing exceptional care and support to children with special educational needs and/or disabilities in an early years setting. If you are Level 3 qualified in Early Years Childcare and  have experience as a SENCO in early years, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young children, we encourage you to apply.

    Brief outline of responsibilities include to manage the SEND provision, ensuring individual requirements are met. Monitor and record children's development and support children with special needs. Maintain records and communicate progress to parents and professionals regularly. Assist in staff training on inclusive practices. Collaborate with management for effective SEN provision. Work with external agencies to support individualised provision. Implement the principles of EYFS. Contribute to planning, activities, and routines. Develop and implement personalised plans for children with special needs. Support children's care, play, relationships, and development. Support children with toileting and transitions.

    The position is subject to satisfactory DBS check and references. The ideal candidate will have the ability to co-operate and adhere to health and safety policy, practices and instructions, have a knowledge of safeguarding children issues and procedures, excellent understanding about the development and learning needs of young children, ability to assess and access children’s development. You will be caring and compassionate towards diverse needs and be able to unpack and pack away large amounts of play equipment daily

    We are seeking an experienced Early Years Practitioner – Level 2 or 3 to join our team. This is a full-time role on a fixed-term contract basis until the end of the academic term in July 2027.

    The playgroup is open daily during term time from 8:30am - 3:00pm, Tuesday to Friday, and welcomes children between 2 and 4 years old.

    Whiteshill Playgroup has been serving the families of Whiteshill and the wider Stroud area since 1985. We have a fantastic team who are professional, enthusiastic, and passionate about early years education.

    Working pattern:

    Tuesday to Friday, typically 8:30am - 3:00pm
    Term-time only
    Start date: From September 2026
    End date: End of the academic term in July 2027

    Applicants should:

    • possess an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Early Years Education & Childcare or equivalent
    • be trained in paediatric first aid
    • have a Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People

    You should be proactive and motivated to assist the existing team in the day-to-day running of the setting. You will help deliver play-based activities for the children that foster a fun and stimulating environment, and support their learning and development in accordance with the EYFS framework.

    Lunchtime support, Monday - Friday term time only

    We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and pro-active person to join our friendly team to help our children during lunch times from 11:45am - 1:15pm, Monday to Friday during term time only.

    The main responsibilities will include:

    • Supporting and supervising children whilst they eat their lunch, encouraging good table manners and healthy eating.
    • Assisting with serving food and support the children with handwashing
    • Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment
    • Ensuring a smooth transition from lunch to afternoon activities.
    There is the possibility for increased hours and support with completing qualifications in Childcare. Previous experience of working with children is welcomed but not essential.

    As an Early Years Practitioner Level 3 you will play a vital part in creating a warm and welcoming space where children can explore, learn and grow through child led play and in the moment learning.
