    Tutshill Community Pre-School is looking for bank staff to provide ad-hoc cover for planned and emergency staff absences, starting ASAP.

    You will be required to work whole days (08:30 – 16:00) or cover individual sessions (08:30 – 13:15 or 12:45 – 16:00), Monday to Friday during Gloucestershire school term times.


    The ideal candidate will be appropriately qualified to level 3, hold a Paediatric First Aid certificate and available to work at short notice. They must also pass DBS checks and we will ask for references from 2 referees.

    We may also consider applications from un-qualified candidates wanting to build experience in an Early Years Setting. We will support any candidate who becomes regular bank or permanent staff with relevant Early Years training working towards a recognised qualification.

    We have an exciting opportunity for Early Years Educators to join our settings across Tewkesbury and Cheltenham. We are looking for qualified staff (minimum Level 2 relevant childcare qualification), both full time (37 hours/week) and part-time (20 hours/week) who wish to work Term time only (39 weeks a year).     Pre-School Assistant, term time only, fixed term contract of one year.  We are looking for a Level 2 or 3 qualified practitioner to join us!  The hours are 18.5 hours – 21 hours (Monday – Friday mornings) with the possibility of extra bank hours in the PM to cover occasional meetings/staff absence if wanted.  This would position would be to start in January. 

    You must hold a full and relevant qualification and be creative, caring, enthusiastic, eager to learn new things, not afraid to get messy, be a great team player, inspire others, be able to sing with the children (even if you can’t sing – don’t worry, we can’t!) and be able to use your initiative.  

    A good knowledge of the EYFS is desirable, a passion for working in early years is essential and experience with SEN would be beneficial but not essential.  We offer a good rate of pay, a supportive team and encourage further professional development.  We welcome informal visits.

    Looking to recruit a Room Lead as soon as possible in our lovely Committee run Pre-School.

    We are open Monday to Friday 8:30am – 2:30pm term time for 38 weeks, therefore we would be looking for your hours to be Monday - Thursday 8:00am – 3:00pm but this can be negotiated.

    The applicant would need to be Level 3 and have experience of working within an Early Years Setting and be prepared to carry out any necessary training required such as Child Protection, First Aid and Food Hygiene. Courses will also be provided to enhance your Continuous Professional Development.

    You would be responsible for running our Caterpillar Room with children aged between 2 and 3 years old, planning stimulating activities for them whilst encouraging positive behaviour and supervising up to 3 members of staff in your team.

    You will need to fully understand the EYFS, be aware of staffing ratios at all times and help with record keeping and making observations of the children. The candidate will support the full staff team by following our policies and procedures to provide a high standard of childcare.

    We will require you to attend staff meetings and 5 inset days a year, communicate with parents in a positive manner and be aware of differing needs of a wide range of children.
