Are you passionate about creating a joyful and educational environment for children?

We are seeking a dedicated Play Assistant to join our team at Uplands Playgroup. Hours: 29.5 hours per week, term time only and potential part time position. Pay: National Living Wage including Holidays and Pension scheme. Start: September 2024 with potential for early start in Summer term.

As a Play Assistant, you will have the opportunity to engage with children in imaginative play, foster their social skills, and contribute to their overall growth and development. Your enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication will be vital in creating a safe and nurturing space for children to learn and explore.

Key Responsibilities include to collaborate with the childcare team to plan and implement engaging play activities, provide a supportive and encouraging environment for children to interact and learn, supervise and ensure the safety of children during playtime. To assist with the preparation and maintenance of play materials, maintain a clean and organised play area. To foster positive relationships with children, parents, and fellow staff members and demonstrate understanding of childcare best practices and principles.

You will be qualified to Level 3 in childcare and have previous experience working with children. Paediatric First Aid certification would be desirable.
